Carol Mohr and Scott McKenzie were sworn in on the evening of January 9 for terms on the Upper Arlington Board of Education after their election in November.

This is Mohr’s second term on the Board of Education and McKenzie’s first. Their terms run through December 31, 2021.

Also at the January organizational meeting, the board selected Carol Mohr to succeed Robin Comfort as president of the board for 2018. Mohr served as vice president in 2017.

The board selected Stacey Royer as vice president for 2018.

Comfort was honored at the meeting with a plaque for her service as president of the Upper Arlington Board of Education. Mohr praised Comfort for her leadership during a year that saw significant progress on the five goals in the district’s strategic plan, including the approval of a community-driven facilities master plan and the launch of a community-driven design process for a new high school and five new or renovated elementary schools.
