Important Updates (New Info)
Dear Tremont Families,
We are entering the home stretch of the school year. Garden Day was a huge success, the mural is in its final stages, and the coming days are filled with wonderful learning opportunities. We look forward to seeing you!
Jim Buffer and Patrick Hurley
Facility Update:Initial draft building and site plans for each of the six projects in the first phase of the community-developed master plan were presented for feedback from community members and staff members at the Community Building Design Team meeting on May 8 and 9, 2018.
These draft plans were informed by the work of the community and staff volunteers on the Building Steering Committees as well as the community feedback gathered at the previous Community Building Design Team meeting in February.
Progress Report Feedback: The District would appreciate all parents completing the following survey so that we can garner your feedback on the new elementary progress reports.
Important Reminders (from previous newsletters--but still important!)
Device check-in information The Personalized Learning page on our website, www.uaschools.org/personalizedlearning, has been updated to include a basic overview and dates for device check-in by grade levels.
Visitor Procedures - As part of our continuous effort to review and update our safety protocols, we will be using a standard identification procedure for visitors to our school. This began on Monday, February 26, 2018. As parents/guardians and visitors come to our building, they will be greeted by a friendly voice from the office through the speaker outside the main door. Visitors will be expected to identify themselves and the reason for their visit prior to being “buzzed” in to the building. Every visitor must sign in in the office and wear a visitor sticker or volunteer ID badge while he/she is in the building. Before leaving the building, every visitor must sign out in the office.
Report a Student Safety Concern - To file an anonymous report regarding a safety or bullying concern, please fill out the Speak Up! online form; click “Other” for a safety concern other than bullying. To report a threat to the Upper Arlington Police Division, call (614) 459-2800, or call 911 if it is an emergency.
Technology Issues? If you have any tech related issues (Schoology, PowerSchool, devices or accounts) please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteer background checks and badges are good for three years. After the three-year period, volunteers need to repeat the background check process and get new badges. If you provided your email address to our district office when you received your original volunteer badge, you will receive an email reminder one month before your background check expires. If you have any questions about the renewal process or when your background check expires, please call (614) 487-5000 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Food and Allergies: In accordance with our district allergy policy, we are not allowing students to bring food to school to celebrate their birthdays. Students can donate a game, or bring non-food items to pass out in class. Thank you for observing our request as the safety of all students is our priority.
