Every Student,
Every Step of the Way

Hastings Middle School has been serving the students of Upper Arlington since 1961. Today, it provides a welcoming environment for students in grades 6 through 8, where they are able to explore an abundance of opportunities to further their pursuits in academics, the arts, athletics and extracurricular activities, and community service and service learning.

Academic Program

Hastings Middle School students build on a strong foundation in math, language arts, science and social studies while exploring new opportunities — global language, performing arts and electives such as visual art, tech ed, life skills, general music, health and PE. 

School Counseling

The school counselors at Hastings Middle School seek to support the needs of all students, collaboratively working with teachers, support staff, administrators and families to ensure the academic and social-emotional success of our students.

Commitment to Service

Community service and service-learning opportunities at Hastings Middle School challenge students to engage in meaningful, authentic learning experiences. This supports our vision of uniquely accomplished students prepared to serve, lead and succeed. 

Student Life

Hastings Middle School provides opportunities for students to explore their interests and passions through extracurricular and co-curricular activities. These activities help our students develop lifelong skills outlined in the Profile of an Engaged Learner.
